Two hundred representatives of the General Council of El-Yasin Community went on hunger strike in Imam Khomeini’s Tomb

Today, June 9, 2009, a group of El-Yasin General Council representatives went on a nonstop hunger strike to protest against physical and mental tortures of Master Iliya (Peyman Fattahi), the leader of El-Yasin Community, in the Imam Khomeini’s Tomb in south of Tehran.

The participants who are more than two hundred people are holding placards saying

“We are requesting for Master Iliya’s medical care”, “Stop physical and mental tortures on Master Iliya” and “Mr. Shahroodi, is the eight-article order forgotten?”

They announced their protest against the arrests and imprisonments, tortures and inhumane illegal measures done by the Religions Department of Intelligence Service and the increase in demolition jobs against Master Iliya (Peyman Fattahi) on Medias and the press and the members of El-Yasin Community.

The participants insist on Mr. Khameni’s direct consideration to Master Iliya and El-Yasin’s case and to stop the apparent tyrannies and injustice done by the Religions Department of Intelligence Service against this community and its imprisoned leader and members.
